SkyQ box disconnecting fro EE Smarthub Pro

Software Q270.000.10.09L (5u193ht)

 

EE Smarthub Pro with Smart WiFi Pro

(936 MBs Download, 116 MBs Upload)

 

SkyQ box disconnects from WiFi, sometimes overnight, sometimes during TV program.

 

Standby Mode switched from 'eco' to 'none'

 

EE engineer has checked FTTP and WiFi signal - 600+ Mbs at SkyQ box location.

 

Sky have replaced SkyQ box but Hardware and Software (updated) are exactly the same as the old box.

 

Latest outage ~22.30hrs 30/12/2024, disconnected whilst watching Netflix film. Screen froze with 'buffering 99%'. Had to reboot Router, SkyQ box and TV.

 

Wife threatening to leave, life is miserable due to these incessant, recurring outages. Help!

 

Can SkyQ box not deal with Wifi7 signals? Do I need to downgrade to Wifi6? Should I change Broadband provider? Should I change TV box from SkyQ to EE TV? Should I move to a streaming service? I am desperate.
