I cancelled Sky Stream after a couple of weeks persevering with intermittent sound, frozen pictures and non synching. A BT engineer came to check the broadband & wifi speeds which were way above the recommended speeds. I was going to cancel my new Sky account, however I was offered Sky Q and accepted, I paid the deposit and the cancellation (Sky Stream) was confirmed.
I sent all the equipment back and phoned on December 30th to find out when the new service would be installed. No engineer had been booked! I now have to wait until January 31st for an engineer to call. Happy New Year!

My son ordered Sky Q on November 23rd and it was installed on December 23rd. Unless there is a cancellation in your area that'll be the next available date.
