SkyQ Transformer box

Last Sunday evening (25.01.26) the hard drive on our Qbox failed.  DPD say they tried to deliver last Tuesdy but no anwser.  We were at home all day.  Delivery then made last Wednesday.  However, the driver gave me the new Qbox but when I tried to set it up it wasn't a like for like box and we neded the transformer to fit the round plug into the back of the box and then the mains lead into it.  We contacted Sky and for a variety of reasons we are no further forward so no TV since last Sunday.  Does anyone know where we could buy a transformer and how we can identify the one we need.

We always advise customers to 

a) remove the viewing card from the faulty box before it disappears into the back of the couriers van and

b) accept any new power cable DPD deliver with the replacement box in case it's different to the one you have.

 

It was no doubt in the box. You'll need to contact Sky to ask them to send another out.

Thanks.  We have spent 4 days trying to get Sky to send us another one but without success

If you are using Safari I believe you must make sure that 'Hide IP address' is not checked in settings to be able to see it - if you have difficulty finding that setting then may be try accessing here with another browser

There are typically some on eBay (part number SP170/SP171)

They are quite expensive through, and Sky should supply one without quibbling.

Thank you.  I agree Sky should step up.  Interestingly, the person I spoke to at Sky on Thursday told me I could always look to buy my own !!

Thanks again for your support.  I have just finished an online chat with someone from Sky.  It appears the issue is a system issue: a new box can't be sent until the system knows DPD deliverd last Wednesday.  We also have to have an engineer visit to make sure there will be no further issues with the box but an engineer can't be booked until the systems knows the delivery last Wednesday was made.  So no TV for a while yet
