Sky tv technical fault

Sky channels not working. Nothing recording. Message come sup stating fault with this channel. This channel is currently  affected by a problem with your satellite signal.

@RichardS11  Have you tried th steps in the post directly above yours?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Hi @RichardS11   The satellite does not care where you live, the signal footprint covers the entire UK.

I know that but there may be some local technical issue that is not letting the signal go up As you can see I am not the only one with this issue so something may be wrong somewhere

The only relevant 'local technical issue' is always between dish and box (or the box itself) : apart from that, 'local' has no meaning for satellite television broadcasting*.

 

Sky has many millions of satellite subscription households, so at any particular moment in time it's inevitable that some are having dish problems and post here.

 

*apart perhaps from really severe weather (intense rain/ice) in a particular region but that would only be transitory.

If it's your own dish, you'll need to log a fault with Sky and book an installer visit to check the dish alignment.
