Sky q mini boxes

Hi I have Sky Q 2TB with 4 mini boxes, I know I can only use 2 with main box, can I add a 5th in another room. Following the same rules 1 main and two minis

No you can only have a maximum of 4 mini boxes I'm afraid @Richard26

Only one main Q box will function at an address, and Sky will only supply four Mini boxes. Any Q hardware obtained elsewhere isn't legitimate and won't work.

For more screens with Sky content you'd need to switch to Stream (bandwidth permitting)

Re: Sky q mini boxes

I have a network room my signal comes in via a 4g router then travels down to my network room via a 48 port switch and then out to all the rooms where the sky boxes abd tv's are

The data rate possible over 4G may not be adequate for multiple Stream pucks in simultaneous use, particularly for UHD content.

Re: Sky q mini boxes

Ok I've managed to do it using Xboxes, sky q plus 4 mini boxes, then added an Xbox with sky app and all Netflix etc just going to add 2 other bedrooms with more Xboxes. All still networking but app based sky. 👍
