Hi I have been having issues with my skyq box disconnecting from my BT wifi it was only occasionally then in the last couple of months a couple of times a week now it's every day and also as it's connected to the skyq box my mini box too needs reconnecting every time the main box drops off. I see this seems to be a common issue any fixes or new box? Very frustrating having to reset it every day now.
thanks

Be prepared for various long winded "fixes" appearing, none will work long term this now appears to be a regular issue that sky appear to be avoiding. Has to be a Sky issue as its happening with so many third party broadband even though all your other gadgets and appliances are working fine.
A Cynic would wonder if Sky just want us to their own broadband.

We had this problem for ages at our new house since moving in last October. No-one at Sky could seem to resolve it until we had an engineer visit a couple of weeks ago. He brought a new Q box and suggested we see how that went. He also suggested that, if the problem returned, we move the wi-fi-connected printer that stood by the Q box as it may be confusing the wi-fi reception on the Q box. Sure enough the problem DID return and we moved ther printer - it's been trouble-free since.
Annoyingly, having had our Q box replaced, we lost all our recordings and we might have been OK keeping the old box and just moving the printer! No-one at Sky, in all the time we have spent trying to have the issue resolved, ever mentioned that the proximity of another piece of wi-fi kit might be the problem!
BTW, the engineer suggested NOT enabling the Q box and mini-boxes as local wi-fi hotspots (which I had done) as this may make things worse, not better.

Only thing next to it on wifi is the Sonos sound bar but they have been together since I got skyq when it first came out so will see what sky say not hopeful going by all the post about this issue. Maybe time to look at other providers bt or virgin shame after 20 years with sky
thanks
