I have a sky q 2tb with four mini boxes around the house. Internet is provided by FibreNest's over 5 mesh network and connected via Ethernet. I am using the Hue sync system though have tried 24hr periods without connection to lights and still causes issues.
Over the last few months the main box and mini boxes display issues with connectivity to main box, internet access and recordings. We have had three new boxes in past two weeks due to hard drive failure. Most recent received today.
completed set up and was watching a catch up programme and lost all connection, was told I needed to upgrade my subscription then a technical fault with the channel. This happens on average 6 or 7 times a day, can be over ten a day at weekends. Never really finish any film or longer programme without issue. Always with on Demand programmes. They never load the next episode. Alway in the morning and pretty much hourly of a night or early afternoon. I have to unplug and wait to reboot if really playing up or reactivate several times via controller. I've tried using wireless and wired. Currently hard wired to main box, I ve tried Active and None for standby. Have replaced controllers and changed channels on router around 30-40 times. Any advice before I cancel and smash the box in?? (Joke but have been with Sky over 25 years). No issues with Apple TV or streaming. Is always this Sky system. Thanks in advance.
