Sky q box

Hi, I had a sky Q box back in late 2019 and subscribe to having a UHD 4k service, though when watching a UHD programme via the apps ie bbc iplayer or Netflix, programs in UHD are grainy, though Sky F1 or sky cinema are super sharp and brilliant on my 2021 Samsung 55 inch tv QE55QN90A. I have the sky Q box wired directly to my ubiquiti switch to my Sky modem and have Skys Ultra fast Broadband (their fastest service).

I've checked my sky Q settings and I'm set to UHD. Any ideas?

Others may confirm but I think early UHD boxes do not support UHD in some apps.

If your Samsung has native apps then use them instead - they will always be a better quality than the Q box (not least because the Q box forces the video mode regardless of the source material).
