Sky q box pinging connectivity.sky.com every second

i am running Pi-hole on my network and was browsing my query log and my sky q box is pinging connectivity.sky.com every second and im not sure why it needs to do that as it slows my dns service down quite alot is there any reason why it pings connectivity.sky.com every second?

Mine is exactly the same, I get a rate limit alarm which means the Sky Q box has pinged the internet more than 1000 times in 60 seconds. 

Not quite sure what the Q box is doing that for, I assume some intrusive telemetry no doubt.

although once a second shouldn't be an issue, and the DNS result should be cached.
