Sky q Dolby no longer outputting Dolby Digital 5.1 using my Sonus system
Can anybody please help I am no longer receiving Dolby 5.1 from my sky q box to my Sonus surround set up when going to a HD movie that should be transmitting. I have selected Dolby digital plus in the menus and I am using earc hdmi. My PS5 is transmitting Netflix in 5.1 fine so I know it's something to do with the sky setup.

hi @JonEvang
Is it just the one movie or have you tried others - sometimes (although fairly rare) the audio is not set as it should be.
Are you able to tell exactly what your sound bar is getting (e.g. DD+ 2.0, DD 2.0, PCM)
I believe some people have accidentally set Audio Description on, which restricts the sound
Edit: Can you check with a live channel - Alibi HD broadcasts programmes in 5.1 (although adverts revert to 2.0)

Re: Sky q Dolby no longer outputting Dolby Digital 5.1 using my Sonus system
Hi @nigea99 thanks for your response, I think I have solved it (well kind of).
I used my PS5 HDMI lead in the sky q box and kept it in the same port on my LG tv and the sound worked in 5.1 in sky as it worked on my PS5.
so I thought it was the HDMI lead hence bought a brand new one but when plugging it into my HDMI1 port I got the same issues (just broadcasts in PCM) it appears I have only 1 HDMi port (HDMI3) that seems to be working on the surround sound so I am going to have to bring this up with LG (under guarantee) as I believe it must be a fault with the TV hdmi ports (apart from HDMI3)
Also when plugging the ps5 into hdmi1 port I no longer get surround sound through it so must be a fault with the ports.

Thanks for the update @JonEvang & glad you have traced the problem.
I don't have an LG TV & I doubt it is an option but it may be worth double checking that there are no options in the TV menus that restrict the individual HDMI
