Sky pin nmber

I watched a programme which requires a pin number and recorded it.  I want to watch it this morning and it is impossible to put my 4 digit pin in as the first digit is already there but not showing what it is so I can't put my pin in? I would like to speak to an advisor and it is totally impossible, very fed up!

Can you enter the other numbers? If the first is already entered then move to the next & enter the rest or move the cursor to the first box & enter the PIN.
If this happens every time then either the remote is broken or there's a stuck button.

Is that not just an indication of where the focus is? Did you actually attempt to enter the pin?

We're only other customers here by the way.

I can't put my pin in as the first box already has a dash in it and it can't be removed?

Are you able to post a picture of what you're seeing as that doesn't sound like normal for PIN entry on Sky.

the picture is showing that the first box is selected not that there's a character inserted, you should be able to enter the PIN. It would show a */star if there was anything entered.
If you cannot enter any number then restart the Q box.

It is impossible to enter anything where the dash is.  I would like to speak to someone at Sky but their automated service  just says go to the website which is no help!

It's an underscore rather than a dash and is just indicating that that is where the first digit will go, it should then jump to the next box. When the box is up, try pressing the middle 'select' button first and then enter the numbers.

What have you actually tried?

I get the dash (which correctly shows where focus is).  When I hit the number buttons the dash turns to a dot...
