Re: Sky mini box
Hi @Sunny018 It has everything to do with WiFi (Sky Q Mesh, not your home WiFi). Ethernet connected to the Main Sky Q box is best.

Strictly speaking it's everything to do with the WiFi from the main Q box.
A Q Mini cannot use a wireless signal from any non-Sky router/booster/extender (or signal from a Sky Max Hub or 'pod')
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Re: Sky mini box
Hi.
would a sky booster work in that room ?
Cable from the Q box to the mini is probably too far.
what the best thing to do

hi @Sunny018
A booster needs to be about half way between - being in the same room it is likely to be weak to use.
An alternative to ethernet cable for the whole distance that many people seem to use is to use Powerline adapters

Hi @Sunny018
If the mini is too far away to connect by WiFi then a Q booster would not connect either.
External grade Ethernet cable from mini to main box is probably your only option
