Sky mini box won’t turn on.

Sky mini box won't connect. It shows as no satellite signal. I've tried turning off and resetting etc. On my main box I can't watch any recorded programmes and can't access itv player etc.  from main box I have reactivated sky mini box. 
from settings on mini it shows it's connected to broadband.
