Sky contact issues

Are Sky having technical issues today.

I have tried contacting Sky on the phone using various telephone  numbers.
All I get is. Automated message saying

Welcome to Sky and then endless music

Not that we are aware of. Perhaps the queue to speak to an agent is longer than normal.

If the issue is not something that fellow customers on here can help you with, call Sky by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky Talk landline or a Sky mobile. Alternatively use this link…
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK customers: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ leading to a number starting 0333.
ROI customers: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ to see a dedicated ROI number. (Customer Services in the ROI are not open at weekends).

The forum filters don’t allow the posting of full phone numbers on here.

Calls to Sky will initially be automated which may try to send you here to the forum, offer you online help or offer to send you a text. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

Re: Sky contact issues

I have managed to get through after holding in for a long time.

They say they have been very busy today.

I wanted to renew my contract but they suggest because of the offers I am getting I should renew one month before my contact ends

That's what is normally advised.

Recent posts on here indicate that significant discounts are now harder to come by. If you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back. Also remember you’re not a new customer so expecting anything close to a new customer deal is unrealistic.

Re: Sky contact issues

I am a Sky Diamond customer. I have been with Sky for over 25 years.

I hope I will get a good deal when I renew as I deserve to I think.

Are Sky tv contact prices increasing a great deal. I usually have 18 month contract

They are all 24 months now. If you decide to leave and go to a competitor, in 18 / 24 months you'll be in a similar position and you can return to Sky and benefit from new customer deals.

I've just renegotiated (Diamond VIP too) - all over chat.

I'm happy with the deal but discounts don't seem as good as they used to be.  For reference, my current discount is just under 40%.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Re: Sky contact issues

On average how much are sky tv contracts increasing in price.

My Sky tv comtract  expires beginning of September,  so I will wait till beginning of August to renew,   as everyone tells me I should renew one month before contract expires.
