How can I get rid of this on the screen, if I press back it closes the app

I am afraid I can't tell but are you using SKy Q with a SKY Glass TV ?

Yes we are we have just switch back to Q, Sky advised us it would work on our glass tv

hi @Katiewyatt 

In which case I think the banner you are seeing is from the TV & not SKY Q so I think you need to use the TV's remote to dismiss the banner rather than Q's

I believe a different remote might help - see this discussion:
