I have accidentally cut my sky cable that goes from the main box to my mini box, it's a 7/8 core cable that runs around the whole house. How can I reconnect the cables in a safe and waterproof way

Ideally you should replace the whole external ethernet cable, but you could attempt a botch repair using an ethernet joiner like the one in this image, and then wrap the repair in self amalgamating tape in an attempt to keep moisture out.

If the damage is external, then the only real solution is to replace the entire cable. Easy DIY job, you can buy complete kits off eBay etc. Or pay a Ethernet network installer to do the job for you.
