hi @daydavid58
There does appear to be a known problem with these boxes & using the SKY Sports app on them
SKY Sports app buffering on 1TB non UHD boxes
SKY are looking into it (as per the marked answer in that discussion) and as yet we do not know the full outcome of their investigations

Re: Sky + buffering all the time
Are you using Wifi or Ethernet? If wifi try changing the wifi channel on your router

Recently when I watch football on sky+ it constantly starts to buffer. This has only started doing this in the last month or so. What has changed I have the same sky broadband as before so what has changed. It is very annoying.
Can you explain further what's happening.
Sky+ (where you've posted) doesn't stream anything, so the concept of buffering doesn't exist. Live sport is only broadcast via the satellite dish.

Re: Sky + buffering all the time
When I go on to the apps menu and select sky sports and watch a football game I assume that is then streaming the program.

Re: Sky + buffering all the time
@daydavid58 not on Sky+ boxes, where you've posted. Sky+ boxes don't stream and can't host apps.
Do you have Sky Q with a satellite dish? Or Sky Stream with an internet-connected Puck?

hi @daydavid58
Please will you advise which Q box you have
Home - Settings - System Info - Hardware Version
If it is 32Cxxx then you have an older 1TB non-UHD Box
If it is 32B0xxx then you have a (V1) UHD but non HDR 2TB Box
If it is 32B1xxx then you have a (V2) UHD HDR 2TB Box (which has a separate Power supply)
If it is 32B2xxx then you have a (V3) UHD HDR 1TB or 2TB Box
