Sky TV install
Is there an increasing problem with SKY TV engineers just not turning up to an appointment to install satellite dishes? Second time today. At some point Sky need to be liable for costs incurred for taking a day off, etc. It just seems totally unprofessional.

There are far fewer satellite engineers these days as quite a few were made redundant last year as Sky move away from satellite broadcasting.
What time was today's appointment for. It's still only 1120. They could well have been delayed at an earlier appointment.

Re: Sky TV install
I agree - the slot is until 1300, so I've jumped the gun slightly. As much as I understand the problem re fewer engineers, I think the way the service runs is poor - there is no actual update during the slot and one can only call to rebook after the slot, in which case it can take another 2 weeks to rebook, even if they didn't turn up. There has to be a better way. The streaming service isn't good enough value yet, otherwise I'd just switch to that.

Re: Sky TV install
Customers who book an engineer for their Sky Q equipment should now receive a tracking link on the day of the planned visit. This will show when the engineer is expected to arrive.
Unfortunately some jobs take longer than expected and then impact appointments for later in the day.

Re: Sky TV install
There is a link that was sent (and it's in the Sky App), but it's fairly useless in terms of any updated information.
