As long there's enough ventilation and clearance then it should be ok as long as the Bluetooth signal can pass.

Re: Sky Q
Hi @Graham1024 ,
I have my main Sky Q box on the wall behind my TV in a dedicated wall mount, as long as air can get around it then it should be fine ( some on here may say different) , I've had no issues with mine in the two years it's been there.

hi @Graham1024
If you are meaning mounting your main box vertically on a mount directly behind with limited space then we know some customers have done this but we do not recommend it.
SKY main boxes are not intended to be vertical & either way require suitable heat dissipation / ventilation
If you just mean out of site, with adequate ventilation then that is fine - my main box is in an alcove behind my TV
