I have BT Broadband and Sky Q. When my Sky Q was first installed the engineer told me that he had to connect my BTHub to a Sky Router for my Sky Q to work with BT's Broadband. I am upgrading to BT Halo 3+ complete with a SmartHub 2 this week. Will I still need to connect this Hub to the existing Sky router for my Sky Q to work effectively.

Hi @Petermeyler
It's not necessary to connect a BT Router to a Sky router.
The only point is that on 3rd party (non Sky) broadband the Q main Q box will only connect to a BT Router on the 2.4 GHz band.
An additional mesh system will invariably cause connection issues for Q boxes.
If you have multiple WiFi Discs you can try connecting the Q boxes to these by Ethernet.
