Hi @SnoooTwo

Assume you are connecting your Q box as follows.

First reset your broadband router.
On 3rd party broadband and your router does not have a reset button, reboot it by disconnecting the power lead for 30 secs and then reconnecting.
Wait until the router is completely back and running and then try a Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router. Even if reset is not listed there is still an option to connect by WiFi to Sky or 3rd party router
On 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.

Assume your Q box is not close enough to use Ethernet connection @SnoooTwo

You could also consider a pair of Powerline units

Re: Sky Q wifi connectivity

It's not practical to hard wire even though the router is less than 6 meters from the q box

what are the power line boosters and what will they do?

They are not Boosters @SnoooTwo

They allow an Ethernet connection using your Mains wiring.

You have one unit in a socket at and Ethernet connected to your router by Ethernet and one  in a socket near near your main box connected by Ethernet.

Re: Sky Q wifi connectivity

If you wire from hub to main q box can you still connect mini boxes wirelessly ?

Yes you can @SnoooTwo

However you must have the Q box WiFi left on.  On 3rd party Broadband Connection is much more positive if all boxes are on Ethernet and all Q box WiFi is switched off.
