Suddenly this morning my Sky Q box refuses to turn off. It stays on amber. I have unplugged it for over four minutes as advised, twice, and it works fine when it restarts, but it still refuses to turn off. I've even changed the batteries. If I hold down the off button then the TV turns off.
What on earth have I done to it? And is there a way to correct it. Any help would be much appreciated.

If the LED onthe front right of the Q box is Amber @angiequo then it is off.
If the box was on it would be Green.
However regardless
With the Q box on with green led try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Thank you @oldfella , yes of course, it is stuck on green. My error. I'm all of a dither, sorry.
But now I have a blue screen saying Remote Control setup, and the please wait is hanging, and hanging. What should I do now?

Hi @angiequo
Reboot the Q box.
To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)
note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.
Then
With the Q box on with green led try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote again.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

@oldfellathank you.
I turned it off, it worked. Then I turned it off, and on again. It worked. I'm going to leave it there while I'm ahead. I will keep your instructions in case it happens again. You are a life saver. Thank you.
