Sky Q vs Sky Stream

Apart from having the flexibility of being able to move your tv to another wall/location without having to trace cables from the sky dish, are there any other benefits of changing from Sky Q to Sky Stream?

I am not that familar with SKY Stream - the big difference for many is that all Stream boxes can be used for UHD (providing the network bandwith is high enough) whereas SKY Q minis can't.

Re: Sky Q vs Sky Stream

For me on the outside looking in the big benefit of Q over stream is the recording and less dependence on an internet connection.

Stream would seem to be a big important for multi room. As was said the ability to get UHD on boxes other than the main. The other factor I wonder if it's better is getting past the connectivity problems of the minis. The last few days most of the first page here has been people struggling with minis not connecting.

Ah yes that's definitely a plus to be able to watch UHD upstairs rather than having to wait until later and watch them on the main tv/box.

Yes you're totally right, for times when the internet is playing up you're currently able to watch live tv/recordings. Whereas the stream service would be off limits without internet.

I wonder if there's a way to mix and match as the only option I can see online at the moment is to add extra mini boxes to my sky Q, they're than an option to add a stream box for the upstairs tvs.

@Kentman19 afraid you cannot mix and match it's either Sky Q or it's Sky Glass/Stream you cannot have both at the same time
