Sky Q uhd audio visual drop outs

Sky Q cannot handle UHD output. Sound and video drop outs continually during UHD content on sky channels and apps.
Perfect when using tv native apps.
This issue has been ongoing and reported on Sky forum threads for over 2 years.

Re: Sky Q uhd audio visual drop outs

I am sure they will.
I expect them to advise all the things we have all tried many times and them blame connected kit when nothing solves the issue.

Power off and on, Reset box, refresh apps, update software, change hdmi cables, change router, reduce resolution, switch sound to normal, draw picture on tv with crayons, use cups and string for speakers, move house, just don't ask Sky to provide what you are being charged for.
Sky Q works with HD but not UHD fact, and they know it!

There have been countless threads on this subject for at least 2 years but no resolution.
Relentless requests for more information to help tech work on the issue is a joke. They must watch Sky at home and experience the constant UHD sound loss, picture loss and app freezes.
The product is not fit for purpose and it appears the stream puck is as poor. The only thing stopping me leaving is the operating system which is great.
The UHD issues need sorting or at least an admission of the issue and a commitment to fix them.

A good idea has been poorly executed at a high price which will see most customers migrate to other streaming platforms as UHD content becomes more readily utilised.

I simply do not believe that statement is true.  If it was such a major issue then there would be a lot more publicity and definitely more posts here.  (Of course you'll only see posts with issues, no one is going to post just to say it's fine)

We will have to agree to disagree. Look at the other UHD threads or simply google Sky Q UHD.

Re: Sky Q uhd audio visual drop outs

You are either in denial, oblivious to the 100s of threads on the very issue I raise or are affiliated with Sky. Everyone is experiencing issues with sound and visual dropouts however irregular or minimal.

Not at all - you'll see my posts are balanced and are critical when appropriate.  Sky staff are clearly marked.

Everyone is experiencing issues

I will reassert that's just not true.  (As per my proof by contradiction)

I would suggest you get Sky to check your dish alignment as UHD would be more susceptable to a minor misalignment.

Re: Sky Q uhd audio visual drop outs

Sorry to contradict but it is true. There are many threads with many people having issues as I am experiencing.
you are a minority if as you state you have never had any issues. Just because you have not experienced issues does not make your statement true. It merely reflects your experience with Sky Q. Many are having a different experience which is a fact. Your righteous support of Sky does not help any of us who are experiencing constant frustrating  drop outs with audio and picture.
Alignment was checked with everything else but did not improve matters.
Sky have still not responded. I have been with them for 26 yrs. No issues until Q UHD.
