I no longer have a subscription, my contract ran out and I have not made a new one. He tried to get me to make a new one when I called about the remote... but I was not in the mood after I was told a new remote could take up to 5 working days. So I think that's why. Found it in the Sky Q app Frequently Asked Questions. Thank you everyone for your help though. Would have been a great solution. I will just have to be patient and wait for the new remote to arrive. Thank you sincerely 👍🏻 


Your contract doesn't "run out" just the discount period, unless you have given Sky 31 days written notice that you are cancelling your contract.

I am just another Sky customer!

I see... so why is the app not working then? Very odd? Guess I have not found the answer 😂

Thank you so much for the info. Finally got the remote on my phone. Had the channel up or down no volume, so goggles Sky Go app volume where to find on iPhone? It says...

"You can't control the volume of your TV through the Sky Go app on your iPhone; volume control is done on the physical Sky Q remote itself after pairing it with your TV through the Sky Q box's setup menu, which is initiated by pressing the home button, navigating to Settings > Setup > Remote Control. The Sky Q remote uses infrared (IR) signals to control your TV's volume, which the phone app cannot do." It was a great suggestion and thank you very much, I shall just have to wsit it out. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me, it really is appreciated. Thank you everyone else too 😄

You will probably see a fairly hefty increase in your monthly bill if you haven't negotiated new discounts!
