Sky Q to existing Glass TV

I am an existing Sky Q customer and have just "inherited" a Sky Glass tv from a relative. There is no outstanding credit on the Sky Glass TV.

Is there any way to move my Sky account to the Sky Glass TV?

I have spoken to Sky several times and nobody seems to know how to do this, yet they advise it is possible...!

Sky Glass Tech do not seem to want to deal with me and always transfer me back to the normal sales team.

The best advice I have had so far is to cancel SkyQ and start a new subscription on the Sky Glass tv, but when I tried this I was advised it is not possible !

Has anyone else come across this type of problem?

I am now out of contract on SkyQ and the prices have rocketed.

Any help would be apprecaited.

Thanks

I'd say your best bet is to go ahead and give your 31 days notice on your current Sky Q account. Your service will continue as normal for those 31 days. During this period or once it ends, you should be able to contact Sky and they'll be more than happy to take your money for a new streaming TV subscription.
It's never quite as easy as it should be with Sky. Their billing systems for Q & Glass are very different and set up under different company ownership regimes so they don't talk well to one another. There are a handful of Sky customer service people who have a handle on it and can transfer customers from Q to a second hand Glass streaming subscription, but getting hold of one of them is the tricky bit.
Keep trying and eventually you should get through to someone who can sort it out for you. Good luck!
