Sure, but you're only really telling other customers. Sky will not routinely scour the forum for such information.

I don't think many people would notice it. It's a split seconds as you change the channel.

Fair enough.
I was hoping for somebody else have to a good look and see they spot the millisecond pixelation as soon as you change the channel specifically on Sky Max , Tennis, F1 and sometimes Golf

I would. I've tried repeatedly to recreate it and it's absolutely solid on my equipment.
I'm not saying it doesn't exist but it doesn't appear to me widespread or really a major problem to be honest as long as the channel plays correctly after the initial glitch.

Well, I'll take it all back.
Managed to recreate it on the Movie channels.
It is the first frame that starts moving where small artefacts appear where there is motion but disappear after that.
I can't say whether this is a 'new' issue though. Not exactly a priority investigation imho.
The blanking issue on Sports channels seems to be a different issue not related to this.

Super interesting!
I am now lost to what's causing it. I will post a a picture later.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it - it's only the first/second frame when changing channel. 😎

Thanks for double checking.
Indeed, the first frame and then it's gone.
On high speed action it's even more obvious.

Here it is.
That pixelation can be all over the screen on a focused in small area. See attached picture on her shoulders

Can Sky address this decoding issue on Sky channels please?!
This is not a hardware fault it's mostly an uplink or transponders problem.

Re: Sky Q software Q330 (63yh6dg) problem!
@Ajaja I'm an IT guy and understand these these things well, so here's my advice to you.
Seriously, this is a software issue on your box. It could also be that it only happens on certain versions of the box, too. It's nothing to do with the LNB, HDMI cable or all the other things you've tried which is why the problem is still there. Also, as others have said, if it was a central problem with the transmission, then you'd be seeing lots of posts complaining about it, hence it's not the transmission like you keep insisting on. Also, since it's such a fleeting issue, I really wouldn't obsess about it. I sometimes see things like this on particular videos, switching channels etc and on UHD too, I never watch SD - why does anyone bother when literally every TV with a HDMI socket is HD at a minimum? Just accept that these boxes are consumer grade and hence not perfect by a long shot. Heck, my v2 piece of junk has a tendency to freeze out the remote so I can't control it anymore, cleared by pressing Home, or the remote's power button if that doesn't help, and also shows juddering pictures intermittently which may improve a bit by power cycling it. It's been better lately though with the latter, but it still happens. Never had this with the v3. I also can't watch iPlayer in UHD on this v2 which irks me no end, chipset limitation.
So, which box version do you have? The best is the latest, v3. If you give us the model number, we can work it out. Home > Settings > press right > System info. There, you'll see the software version which should be Q330.something and the hardware version. If it's showing Q320 or anything else, then manually update it as it's important to be on the latest version.
On my crappy v2 2TB downgrade that I'm stuck with after my v3 failed and Sky have singularly failed to replace with like for like, the model number is 32B107. I have an open thread on this issue here and the issue is still open too, like Sky care. btw, before anyone tells me that all the boxes are equivalent, they're absolutely not, with v1 being the worst, then v2 and v3 the best with most faults ironed out and an internal power supply, too.

Re: Sky Q software Q330 (63yh6dg) problem!
I am on Q330 and hardware 32B206 and guess what the static shows all any box new old it's the same. I am convinced it's a decoding / uplink issue which I have stopped obesessing anou. Not many would notice this unless you have a keen eye.
