Sky Q setup interfering with WiFi signal
I have a newly installed Vodafone Ultra hub router. The Sky Q box setup (main device and 2 minis) is affecting the WiFi signal as in theory I should get up to 900mb and generally see around 250mb or less. Vodafone have said the Sky Q box is impacting performance as it is using 5ghz.
I have amended the bandwidth width to 40mhz from 80 but this has made no difference. The Sky Q box is directly connected by Ethernet. Can i turn off 5ghz and only use 2.4 for connection between the Sky Q devices? Any suggestions?

Re: Sky Q setup interfering with WiFi signal
Q to Q connectivity will only use 5GHz channel 36 and 80MHz width (so covers to channel 48 or channel 40 with 40MHz).
The 2.4GHz connectivity is only for the main Q box (non-Sky ISP).
Can you change the vodaphone router to use channel 52+?

Re: Sky Q setup interfering with WiFi signal
Hi @Marcel7 You you moved your Vodafone router 5GHz to channel 48? Is the Vodafone router WiFi 6 for higher speeds.

Re: Sky Q setup interfering with WiFi signal
Channel 48 would still clash with 36 if the Vodafone router is 80MHz as it would occupy channel 36, 40, 44, 48.
Moving the Vodafone router to 52 or above is the best solution as Sky is limited to 36/44 and doesn't use 2.4GHz if you're using a non-Sky ISP.

Re: Sky Q setup interfering with WiFi signal
Thank you to everyone who has suggested the channel change with Vodafone. I will contact them tomorrow and ask. Will update after call.

You should be able to do this yourself by logging into the router as admin.

Re: Sky Q setup interfering with WiFi signal
Have tried but it is greyed out. The. Vodafone app talks about a super WiFi button which would allow you to do this but there isn't one.

Re: Sky Q setup interfering with WiFi signal
It seems there is no Super WiFi tile referred to. I was told by the help desk you cannot change channel though I have found documents on their site which says you can. They tell me the device is intelligent enough to detect congestion and auto change to a less crowded channel.
i have changed Sky to 40mhz/36 and will have to see how it goes.
thank you for your help.
