Sky Q remote batteries die within a week

My sky Q remote is playing up. The voice control does not work and the batteries are going flat after a week. I have requested a new one on the 17th October but it has not been delivered. I managed to get someone to call me back about this but we got cut off from the call before resolved. Any one else having issues with the batteries?

Hi @Tracey38

Have you checked that no buttons are stuck or sticking on the remote?

Check the following link and it will lead to a form for a replacement remote.

Thanks for your reply. All buttons seem fine, except the voice control. Sky are sending another remote. It has cost over £20 in batteries the last month or so. Just curious to know if this was a common issue.

Hi @Tracey38   It is not a common issue, probably one in a million. Just checking that you are buying quality batteries from a major retailer. Avoid eBay and Amazon marketplace, guaranteed to be counterfeit.

@MightyQuinn @Three different packets of Duracell and two packets of energisers. A small fortune. Hopefully the new one will resolve the issue
