Sky Q not working

What a joke, my box down since last thursday, have tried all your tutorials to fix with no joy, probably 50 times since Thursday. Spoke to a foreign lady at technical support today, at that point I had satelite connection perfect strength, after asking me to make some changes, I now have no satelite connection as well as broadband router connection, my internet connection is fine. I am told that it now needs an engineer!!! only available next SUNDAY!!!!! For gods sake everything was fine till last Thursday!!! what is going on??? an obvious problem at sky as all engineers fully booked for many days, initialy the told me 2 June at which point i threatened to cancell my subsciption after 13 Years!! so much for a Platinium VIP.

Re: Sky Q not working

It's the same with ours. No TV since Thursday but to actually speak to someone is so painful,  it takes an hour of google searching just to find a number and, if you dare to call it: if you would like this press 1, if you would like that press 2, if you would like to buy Sky press 3...some time later...if you are one of our thousands of customers who can't watch TV dial 10000. It needs an engineer and possibly a new box (so likely to lose all recorded programmes) but noone can come for another week. What button did they press on Thursday night to wipe out half their customer base!

I'd use the number on Sky's own help page.

Calling googled numbers can be very risky...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Re: Sky Q not working

There isn't a number on the Sky help page. Everything there tries to take you down an online help route which can't actually help you.

Yes there is. Open up "need more help" at the bottom of the list of products & services on the help screen and keep scrolling down past the online options.

@DDowers
I've just checked the below link and the 0333 number is there (relevant for UK customers).

To call Sky dial 150 (free) from either a Sky Talk landline or a Sky mobile. Alternatively use this link…
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK customers: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ leading to a number starting 0333.
ROI customers: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ to see a dedicated ROI number. (Customer Services in the ROI are not open at weekends).

The forum filters don’t allow the posting of full phone numbers on here.

Calls to Sky will initially be automated which may try to send you here to the forum, offer you online help or offer to send you a text. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.
