Sky Q not rebooting

This morning my sky Q box had the illuminated Q which I understand it to be downloading updates. The box would not turn on. I disconnected the box and left for thirty minutes turned it back on with no joy. I tried to turn on the mini sky Q and it stated that the server is down and to try later. sky is this the case and if so when will it be back up and running ?

Hi @Spud69 Try rebooting your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on?

The Mini boxes connect to the main SKY box via their own wifi mesh, so if your main SKYQ box is not functioning the Mini boxes cannot connect!

The mini can't do anything if the main box isn't working.
