Hi,
Ive been having ongoing issues with my sky mini Q box in the bedroom. Last night it wouldn't connect to my broadband. I reset my main box and it seemed to work, but tonight its going on and off and says we need to update. Ive done all the steps required but still nothing has resolved the problem.
can you help?

Check your Standby mode, if it is Eco or None change it to Active. This MIGHT solve your problem. Go to settings, then Setup, then Preferences.. On the right look at Standy Mode. If it is not set to Active then that might be your problem. Worth a check methinks, it might fix your problem.
