Sky Q mini issues

Firstly, I've got a regular Sky Q box which we have issues with the third party apps, Netflix, Disney+ etc.

After anywhere between 10 minutes - a few hours, the picture can just completely pixelate forcing a restart of the box.

All the software is upto date, Has anyone had a similar issue?

 

Secondly I've recently got a sky Q mini box. Quite frankly it's awful, It's incredibly laggy even on the Menu's.

I'm paying for Sky Cinema which doesn't work at all on the mini box, It downloads and starts to play the movie then goes completely blank. 

Again, All the software is upto date. 

 

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Q sounds like it's overheating.

 

mini sounds like it has a terrible connection.

@LukeS95 You could try resetting the settings in the Q boxes hidden menu.
To enter the hidden menu press the home button and scroll down to settings but do not select settings.
With settings highlighted press 0 0 1
Only Carry out the first Reset being Reset Settings as the others will wipe all recordings.
After the reset you will have to re-pair your remote assuming you are using a bluetooth remote by pressing 1 and 3 together on the remote se if that helps with your first problem

 

I would advise is to reboot your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

 

then  reboot your mini box after rebooting your main as that may help with the mini box problem
