Sky Q main box and mini box won't initialise

Both my main Sky Q box and mini box won't start up.  Both have an amber light showing,  but nothing is happening.  I've tried turning them on and off etc, but the same problem is occuring.  I tried the Sky online diagnostic help, and it tells me there's a fault but of course I can't move forward as there's no error message being shown.  Any bright ideas??  Thanks

@CassieJ have you tried pressing the amber light as this is also the on button if that works on both boxes then it could be your remotes that are faulty
