Sky Q keeps re-enabling WiFi when connected via ethernet

So I have a sky Q box connected via Ethernet and a sky mini box connected via WiFi.
When I turn off the WiFi on my Q box it switches to showing a different SSID for a few minutes but then seems to switch back to the WiFi SSID and when I go back in to check the WiFi has re-enabled itself.

is this because the mini box is still connected via WiFi?

I thought the mini box connects to the Q box rather than WiFi or does it need WiFi to connect to the Q box.

im confuzzled.

thanks in advance.

@Speedytriple The mini box if connecting by wifi needs to connect to the Q mesh (generated by the main Q box if your broadband is not Sky) on a 5Ghz wifi connection so yes you need to have wifi switched on, on the main Q box

I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer
