Sky Q essentials and CNN

Does Sky Q essentials  include CNN as part of the package.

CNN is not in Television Essentials on Sky Q.

The minimum subscription to view is Sky Signature.

One online source suggests CNN may be available as an advertising supported channel within the Prime Video app.

CNN is a free channel, much like BBC, ITV etc so you should be able to view it with any Sky Q package including Essentials

I believe it was withdrawn from free to air satellite some years ago.

CNN is definitely still free to air and available without a Sky subscription.  Even though it was removed from the Freesat EPG, the channel remained free on satellite.

Hi.. CNN stopped working on Badr sat a few days ago.  Do you know why?

Unfortunately, that's no longer true.

They stopped around the the 28th of March 2026.  I hope it's just a glitch, but it doesn't look like it will come back 😔

Just to advise CNN HD currently working FTA on Astra @ 28.2E

Note CNN is on one of the weakest transponders for UK & Ireland viewers
