Sky Q connectivity

How long does a sky Q box last......mines starting to get slower and keep having to reconnect the mini boxes event though no issues with WiFi?

I've had mine for 3 years now and do a full reboot around every 3 months to clear out any cobwebs.

 

I'd suggest fully rebooting both the router and the Sky Q main box & minis.

Unplug all of them, same time, from the wall for at least 30 seconds.

Plug back in the router only, get it up and running, and run a speed test on your mobile. Now plug back in the Sky Q box, go to settings, and reset the network settings section. Then scan for your router, add in your password, and hopefully, you're back up and running.  Now turn on the minis and re-pair to the main Q box.

 

EDIT:  How full is your HDD?  Obviously, the fuller HDDs will impact the performance of the boxes.

@Jeffs77 had my current bos since October 2017 and no problems at all with nothing wrong with the previous box I had as well only swapped as I was trialling the V2 box 


I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer
