Sky Q cables

Hi all ( again 🤣 ) my sky Q ( HD ) is due to be installed on Sept 18th , can I ask , I have Sky +hd currently and I have the sky HDMI cable with the pink end that came with the Sky+hd , I presume that HDMI will work perfectly fine with the Sky Q?????

Also is the power cable the same for the Sky+HD box and sky Q box?? Only asking because the cables are routed through my TV stand and I can't see the engineer taking his time to feed them back through , many thanks.

Hi @edgie700

Existing cables should OK.

Depending which Q box is installed some have separate power supply which has a different cable into the Q box.

However the initial cable from socket to power supply is a standard IEC C7 (figure of eight cable) whic is the same as you have.

Just make sure that your installer leaves you all the cables for the Q box so that there is no doubt that you have all the necessary cables (including a new HDMI cable with pink end)

Re: Sky Q cables

@edgie700 When I Replaced Sky+ with Sky Q last year they used the same cables and HDMI.
