Has anyone got an answer from sky on why out of nowhere the sky Q box suddenly stops connecting to wifi??? No one in sky seems to be able to help me or give me an answer. They act like it's the first time they've heard of the issue, last time they blamed 'interference' and connected it through hardwire. This time it's not an option for me!! Reading the many threads on this issue tells me 'interference' was not the issue and it's actually a problem on Skys end. I want this issue fixed or I'm cancelling the lot paying for a service that no one wants to fix

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIts wifi atack is crap, is the conclusion I've come to.
Try the steps in post 7 here and look at the link in post 8 too

and sometimes people get the wrong button on the router when trying to reconnect it as it's not obvious, make sure it's the WPS button.

Thankyou for your reply. I've tried every step there is to try. Just had someone from sky ring me this morning to go over all the same steps I've told him I've went over 50 times already 🙄🙄 sending out another engineer. When I said to him sky are obviously aware of this issue why can't they admit that and be honest with people I got the usual speel 'we are sorry you have been having issues' As I refuse to go back into a TV contract from this happened last time at the end of the call he offered me a great deal on sky movies trying to get me back into contract!!!! No chance until you are honest with me about the issue and you can guarantee me it won't happen again!!!! If it's not fixed by Tuesday when the new engineer comes out I'm cancelling everything seems years of being a loyal customer means nothing to sky

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreDid you do the steps exactly in the order I said? It's worked for other people and I think the Q and minis get very confused about who owns the connection to the internet if they are all trying at once (I have no inside track on this, just a hunch)

Yes did everything exactly. When I first got this issue 3 years ago I could of started working for Sky I did that many different things including asking every neighbour to turn all their devices off 🙄 The issue was fixed last time by taking away my mini boxes upstairs and hard wiring to router. We finally got fibre in our area a year ago and now router is in the kitchen but it has linked with no hard wire for near two years even before fibre went in. I can't run a wire this time and I shouldn't have to if it all worked before. Sky need to be honest and tell people excatly what the issue is. When I had this issue 3 years ago there were little to no threads about this problem now it's full of people having the same issue all of a sudden!!! Thanks for your replies though it's appreciated. I'll update you after Tuesday if it gets fixed or not.
