Hi all
Im after some assistance with my Sky Q Ultra HD 1tb box which is really testing my patience. Sometimes after been on standby for a couple of hours, I turn on the tv, amp and sky box and I have no sound or image however its as though the tv is picking up something as it goes from no input detected to a black screen. Only a power off will fix it but I am having to do this 2-3 times a day sometimes. I have tried the following:
Different HDMI cables
Different HDMI ports on amp (Denon AVR-X1700H)
Plugging HDMI direct in to tv (LGOLED BX)
Changing Sky Q output from 2160p to 1080p
Im honestly thinking its the box thats knackered but just wanted some ideas that I maybe havent tried. Thank you

Hi,
Search here under connection issues with Denon AVR and Sky Q .....you will find that your issues aren't unique.
The only way I solved it was to get Sky to swap my Q box for a V3 box which has a different chip set associated with the HDMI connection and that solved it for me.
Obviously not an ideal remedy but there is a solution.

Hi. I solved the issue by moving it to an 8k port on the denon amp and using high quality QED hdmi cables... Its been like that since May/June and never had an issue since. Cheers
