Re: Sky Q box issues
Hello, if the screen is going black there are multiple reasons. Let’s dive into some potential fixes:
- For your Sky Q box, under settings, confirm the signal service received on your Sky box. You should have a tick against Satellite signal.
- Try setting your Sky box output resolution to HD. Then you can investigate further by inspecting the audio/visual settings on the Sky Q box. Make sure the Sky box output resolution and color depth is supported by your TV.
- Check your physical HDMI connection is OK. Some TVs support a diagnostic of the current HDMI port in use. Otherwise, physically check the HDMI cables and satellite cables are secure.
- Sometimes, HDMI reliability issues can be resolved by turning off the TV’s quick start function. After changing that setting, restart the TV.
- Check the Sky Service availability in your area on the official Sky website, here is the URL: Check your services are up and running | Sky Help | Sky.com | Sky Help | Sky.com
