Hi I have my Sky box upstairs and my daughter has the mini box in her room next door, the thing is im disabled and have had a ground floor extension put on the back of the house and i envisage problems when i have my box moved to the extension. I dont think her mini box will connect to my main box because of distance. I Wondered what i can do if this happens ? ethernet cable is out of the question really so wondered if sky did a booster for the two boxes so they would connect again.

Hi @mike+boyd
Assume you are aware that your twin satellite cables from the dish will need to re located if you move your Q box.
WiFi is never predicable unfortunately.
If you are on Sky Broadband the mini can also connect to the Sky router if nearer to the mini than the main Q box.
Sky do provide Q WiFi boosters and one would need to be positioned between the main Q box and the min (or the Q router and the mini if on Sky broadband and the router is nearer to the mini than the main Q box).
Success would done on the distance involved and what obstacles are between the Q devices.

@mike+boyd Sky do have boosters that will conect halfway between your box and your daughters box. If you need an engineer to move the cabling for your main box from upstairs to your new extension the the engineer should make sure the mini box of your daughters works and if it need a booster then they should fit one
