Hi all,
I have a Sky Q 2tb box and a mini Q box. My internet is FTTP 900mb with BT and my boxes connect via wifi as my router is not near the Sky boxes.
I am finding though my boxes keep dropping connection to the internet.
I have changed both boxes but still get the same issue.
Is there anything in settings I can do to stop this?
Many thanks

Hi @Markbrum
You could try the following although it looks like you main Q box is on the limit of range of your BT router.First reset your broadband router.
On 3rd party broadband and your router does not have a reset button, reboot it by disconnecting the power lead for 30 secs and then reconnecting.
Wait until the router is completely back and running and then try a Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router. Even if reset is not listed there is still an option to connect by WiFi to Sky or 3rd party router
On 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.
If you get your main Q box connected carry out a Network Reset on the mini.
Network Reset found in mini Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to WPS with main Q box.
You will be asked to press the WPS button on the main Q box (not the mini as the Network reset will start the mini WPS automatically).

I do have a wifi extender disc right next to the main Sky box.
But I will try that to.

Hi @Markbrum
You will see I did edit my post with further info.
Bear in mind that the main Q box might connect to the BT disc but it possibly will not be very successful.
Your best option is to connect both your main Q box and mini by Ethernet to the BT discs (assuming that's what your extenders are).
When all boxes are connected by Ethernet you can then switch off all Q box WiFi.
Start with main Q box and first carry out a Network reset with the Ethernet connected.
Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Select connect wired to non Sky Router (or Sky router if on Sky Broadband). Do not carry out any WPS and just wait for the box to connect. It may take a couple of minutes. If it does not connect there is an issue with the Ethernet connection.
As soon as it connects immediately go into the Q box hidden menu and turn off WiFi.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Go to Network to turn off both bands of WiFi. Confirm before exit.
Repeat the network reset on any minis in the Mini Home menu with the Ethernet connected. Again do not do any WPS and just wait for it to connect.
Once it is connected go immediately into the mini hidden menu (same procedure as above) and turn off both bands of WiFi. Confirm before exit.
