Hi All!
So I switched from Sky broadband to Virgin (wanted the extra speed and was offered an excellent discount) and at the same time purchased a DECO system as wifi across the house always had a weal signal.
My current setup is now Virgin Media Hub in router mode, DECO mesh system (x3 units) in AP mode, Sky Q and 2 minis. Everything in the house now connected to my new Deco Wi-Fi.
Been working fine for the last three days, but today I have had to reset the network connection on my sky mini three times.
I have got lost in threads talking about turning off the sky q main box wifi, switching my VM hub to modem mode, etc. I know many suggest hard wiring ethernet cables, but this isnt an option with our home layout.
Can anyone suggest what might have happened, and what i might try. Thanks

@MDev1 If you are trying to connect your Sky mini boxes to your deco wifi it won't work as with third party routers/broadband etc the mini boxes need to connect direct to the Sky Q main box by way of the mesh that the main box emits.
Its a bit strange that it worked for 3 days unless the mini boxes had connected to the main Q box and not your deco mesh

When I go onto the mini box it says that it is connected to the new Deco WiFi that I setup, but it also shows a tick next to the "connected to Sky Q box"?
If I go onto the mini box and go through the reset internet options, should it show my main Sky Q box as an option to select?

@MDev1 the mini boxes only connect to the Sky Q main box by using the wps button not ever having had a third party broadband or router i don't know what options come up when you do a reset on the mini box but you should at some point get a screen that asks you to press the wps button on your nearest piece of Q equipment so you would then have to go to the main box and press the wps button on that.

Yeah just had a look and it only lets me connect with that WPS button. It does say the mini is connected to the new deco WiFi also, I'm guessing that's because that is what I connected the main Sky Q box to?
im going to try and use an Ethernet cable for the main box now, see if that stops the issues. I'm sure there's lots of other things I could do to maximise how the VM router and Deco all works but unless I get an engineer round to do it I'm sure I'd do something wrong.

I followed advice from the TP link CS and found a way to stretch Ethernet cables to both the main and mini box. So far so good so let's hope it works
