Sky Q UHD

Hi All,

Just ordered (and paid for) a Sky Q UHD box as I realised I had one of the old original Sky Q boxes.

I've also been paying for UHD channels since it came out, have I been misold?

Many thanks

The original (2016) 2TB could do UHD but not HDR.  It was the original 1TB which wasn't capable of UHD.

You weren't paying for UHD since it came out because there was no UHD when it came out. It was added in August 2016 with very limited content at the start.

Are you sure you don't mean a HDR box?

And, from distant memory, it wasn't a UHD add-on anyway, but triggered by something else (either 'Box Sets' or 'Multiscreen' perhaps?)

Indeed it  was enabled by the 'Multiscreen Pack' originally

(BTW this sometimes caused confusion as a few customers did not take out a mini box or just cancelled the Multiscreen pack without realising they would loose UHD)

Ah, yes, and then branded as the 'Sky Q experience': 2TB main Q box, Multiscreen and a Mini, with UHD output from the main box as a benefit.
