Sky Q TV package question

I am trying to find information about comparing my current (very old) package with the new offerings. I wonder if anyone could help please.

I have Sky Q and an old TV package called 'Box Sets'. I pay £53.50/month for this part alone. I am out of contract. I have other add ons which I need to remove as we don't watch anymore (eg Sports, Cinema) but ultimately I think I need to be starting a new contract with an up to date package as everything is far too expensive as it is at present. I'm broadly happy with Sky and would be fine to sign a new contract for the right price.

Questions are:

- Am I right in saying that the only TV option for Sky Q now is called 'Sky Signature'?

- Does anyone know how this compares to my current  'Box Sets' package? I'd like to know if I lose anything by switching to Signature.

- Am I likely to get a significant saving on switching to a new contract on Signature? I know I need to call them to find out but just curious for people's experiences.

Yes, Signature is current and includes boxsets.

You can almost certainly reduce your costs but would have to agree a new 2 year term.

@hm31 yes by removing movies and sport you will reduce costs, and moving to Signature will provide the same as you are getting now, and the new Disney/HBO with ads.

I think my current package being called Box Sets has confused me a little and it's really hard to find out the real specifics of what it includes (and actually the real specifics behind the Signature package too). I wonder whether once upon a time we had a basic Sky+ package and added a box set option to it. I don't know. Regardless, it sounds like the only way I'm going to lower my costs is to switch to Signature but that's good to know it shouldn't lose me anything. Feeling a little more reassured!

@hm31 I may be wrong, but I think some times ago, you could add boxsets in addition, but you'll get all boxsets with the signature package in any case. I'd try a live chat with Sky and see what they can offer you. I'd

You can add 'Ultimate' to Signature which would give you Netflix, if that's of any interest.

You probably got HBO and Disney anyway, correct? I did and I'm on an old package which is not signature. 

I'd say it's not switching to signature that will save you anything, it's the new 24 month lock-in commitment.

Yes I have HBO and Disney already. 

I'm hoping to save quite a bit by dropping sports and the phone line rental which hasn't worked properly in months anyway. We just don't need it anymore!

I also want to drop Cinema - I don't think I can justify it when we already have Netflix, Disney and Prime. We signed up to this package so many years ago - much has changed since, including the ever increasing price.....

No, a new contract will mean changing to Signature. But I wouldn't worry, it can't not be cheaper to start a new contract on Signature than, presumably, paying list price for your current package.
