Hi, i have just intalled Q today but I can hear a humming sound when its turned on ?

I am aware that the box has an inernal fan. What is this noise and is there anything i need to do?

I have rebooted but no change. Should i call engineer ? The Q box was an upgrade from Sky+HD. I do not have the new card for it as its still in the post as the upgrade was done in an emergency, so the engineer has inserted the old card. Could the noise be from using the old card ?

No: it's either the fan, the spinning platter hard drive, or both. You can request a swap if you wish.
