Hello,
we had a few power cuts today and after the power came back on, I noticed the Q mini box in the bedroom didn't have the standby light on.
I unplugged it and plugged back in and the red light came on for a few seconds and went off.
It is getting power as there is a light on at the back
If I press the reset button, the red light comes on and stays on but I can't interact with it.
inhave tried holding reset in but nothing happens.
does this seem like it's stuck in a mode or faulty?

i have followed the link
the red light shows on the remote when I press ?
I have held down the standby button on the box and turned it back, but no light flashes.
As soon as I power it on, the red light goes off after about 2 seconds.
if I press the reset button on the back, the light stays on but nothing happens

Hi @Djhannan
You need to hold in the reset button in for at least 30 seconds while you switch it on.
If the Recovery doesn't work there is only one option which is shown in the link

I have just done the same with the reset but to no joy
What is the best number to call for a new box?

Just to confirm what the link says regarding the minis
If the lights don't show after 30 seconds, repeat steps 1 to 2. If it still doesn't work, you might need to replace your Sky Q box.

Hi there
i am having exactly this problem following a series of power cuts. No lights on front of sky q mini box. When unplugged and then plugged back into mains red light comes on for a few seconds then disappears.
Did the reset button which puts red light back on. Never does it flash red/green despite holding down for 30+secs. Tried unplugging again and red light completely disappears again only returning after pressing the reset button again. The remote is working. Changed the fuse in the plug just to be sure!
Have the power surges from power cuts fried the box? Did you rectify the problem or is it a new box?

Having exactly the same problem following a power outage.. did you get this resolved or is it a replacement mini box.
my other mini box is working fine, so I suspect I do have a broken unit.

Try repairing your remote. Similar problem and remote not working as well. Reset using 7&9 buttons and point at the box!! Mine just came on.
