Sky Q Mini Box Fault
I have a strange fault with my Sky Q mini Box (which is the only box I have a TV connected to)
When I switch the box on, the green light appears but it doesn't seem to send any signal to the TV, if I repeatedly press the HOME button I may very briefly get the menu to appear before it disappears again.
If I switch the box into standby using the remote the menu appears for approx 30 seconds before the box goes into standby.
These symptoms show that the remote is working and that the TV is tuned to the correct signal
I have tried rebooting both the sky mini box and the main Sky Q box
is the mini box totally hosed? in which case I basically can't watch TV....

Re: Sky Q Mini Box Fault
just to add, my TV does recognise that a device is plugged into the HDMI port but it does not recognise it as a CABLE BOX (which it used to do)

Re: Sky Q Mini Box Fault
Hi @JJJJSS
Sounds like a handshake issue with the HDMI, can you try using a different HDMI port on your TV or a different HDMI cable to see if anything changes?

Re: Sky Q Mini Box Fault
Hello,
thank-you for the response, I just went to try this out and to my surprise everything is now working!!
I wonder if the mini box got overheated or something?? and has needed some time being switched off to cool down (it didn't feel hot to the touch)
anyway, for now it seems to work, if I have any further issues, I will perhaps replace the HDMI cable
