Sky Q Internet Connectivity - Megathread

Wanted to start a more recent thread about the issues with Sky Q boxes intermittently losing internet connectivity (with the only short term remedy being a power cycle of the box).

I have a main Q box hard-wired via Ethernet switch to a Sky ER110 router. Two mini Q boxes also connected via Ethernet switches. All Q boxes have WiFi disabled. For close to 10 years nothing has been wrong with this setup and a few months ago suddenly connectivity issues arose.

I've replaced each of the Q boxes in case there were hard-drive issues or any hardware failures but no difference. I've tried every single network setting, including connecting the Q boxes via WiFi.

But no matter what, every few days the main Q box will lose connectivity, fail to get an IP address and need a power cycle to start working again.

At an absolute loss other than going down the complaints route (which won't solve the underlying problem). 

Has anyone out there had any joy with a permanent fix?! Or is this just power-cycle city now while they wait for everyone to get fed up and move to Glass/Stream...

My setup hasn't started playing up. Still works the same as ever thankfully. Never worked stably over wifi. I have a bit more complex physical network between the sky boxes with powerlines, wifi mesh and a 100Mb switch involved.

Yes I also never trusted or used WiFi between any of the Q boxes and the router. 

The router itself has WiFi disabled, I use it purely for the modem element and pass everything on via Ethernet, which is what was so strange as nothing at all's changed.

Seems like I'm not the only one though, so maybe a firmware upgrade's in the works for either the router or the Q boxes (he says hopefully).
